Sunday, November 24, 2019, 10:00 am, the Salvamont-Salvasepo Public Service Cluj together with the Emergency Department, organizes a public demonstration of the rescue exercise with air support. The exact address of the event: Iuliu Hațieganu Sports Park, UBB, rugby court no. 1.

The purpose of the rescue exercise with air support at the Transylvania Mountain Festival 2019, powered by GARMIN, is:

  • To demonstrate the efficiency of the special mountain rescue crews
  • To disseminate the importance of security on the mountain and in hard-to-reach areas among the active community
  • To mark the 50 years of activity of the Salvamont County Public Service – Salvaspeo Cluj

The exercise starts at 10:00

The public is invited to sit on the sides of the sports field for this unique exercise.

Access is free.

Salvamont-Salvaspeo withinTransylvania Mountain Festival 2019

The weekend of November 22-24 will be a very full one for mountain lovers as the second edition of the International Mountain Festival in Cluj-Napoca – Transylvania Mountain Festival will take place.

The Salvamont-Salvaspeo County Public Service Cluj will be present with three events during the festival:

  • Thus, starting on Friday, November 22, at the arcades of the Casino Center for Urban Culture in the Central Park will be presented the photo exhibition “Salvamont Romania – 50 years” with spectacular images of present and past activities of mountain rescuers, of the subterranean rescuers and divers.
  • Also Friday, November 22, starting at 6:00 pm, at the Cinema Victoria will be presented the documentary film “50” that surprises the half-century history of the Cluj Salvamont. The documentary, which lasts about 25 minutes, is premiered in a movie theater at the Transylvania Mountain Festival.
  • The  spectacular rescue exercise that will be presented by the Cluj rescue team on Sunday, together with a crew of the Emergency Department with the equipped helicopter, on November 24, starting at 10:00 am, on the rugby field of the University Sports Park “Iuliu Hațieganu ”.
