5th expEdition | Limitless

This year, Transylvania Mountain Festival returns to a more focused format, but also retains an online component for remote audiences. The theme of the 5th edition – Limitless – was generous but also challenging for the competitors.

Starting November 21, our small mountain community can enjoy a series of festival anchor events, as well as a series of workshops, outdoor activities, unique exhibits and the much anticipated TMF community party!

This year, the TMF programme returns to a classic, more focused format, with outdoor exhibitions and live and online viewing. The festival’s actual schedule can be followed in two main chapters.

  • The official mountain photography exhibition at the French Institute in Cluj | 21 – 29 Nov.

  • TMF 2022 Gala at Cinema Victoria | 25 Nov.

Workshops, meetings, outdoor activities and parties during the festival:

  • Launch of the book “Dor de munte” by Dinu Mititeanu | 21 Nov
  • Educational workshop for children with Luminița Bratu at the French Institute in Cluj | 23 Nov
  • Adventure and mountain book exchange at Victoria Cinema | 22 – 27 Nov
  • Hiking: Discover the surroundings of Vălul Miresei waterfall with Vlădeasa Mountain Rescue and Maramontsport | 26 Nov
  • ZăpăDoc – Ski & snowboard expo, Zine and jam session launch | 26 Nov
  • TMF Limitless Party @Atelier Café | 26 Nov
  • Hiking: Lapiezurile near Cheile Turzii with the Romanian Alpine Club Cluj Branch | 27 nov

The TMF Association promotes knowledge and exploration of the mountain environment through sport, education, art and science – and the Transylvania Mountain Festival is the place where athletes, explorers, innovators and creatives in love with nature and mountains meet! We hope that this programme will inspire the local and international community, generate new initiatives and projects that bring back the mountain spirit and love of Nature among us.
